WebSDR Mediumwave Tuner

Use this list to quickly open a browser tab, streaming your favorite station from an internet-connected software defined radio receiver (SDR). If signals are weak or noisy, try another station or switch to a different receiver location. You can tune around and find more stations on any of the SDRs. They not only receive AM / mediumwave, but also work fabulously on shortwave.

How to use:

1. Click on a city or region.
2. Click the button for a station.
3. Click on a receiver location to listen.
4. The radio opens in a new browser tab.
5. When necessary, click captchas for access to radio controls.
6. On certain browsers you may need to enable sound.
7. Listings are automatically curated, pulling data from online SDR lists.

Night is best for mediumwave, and it is always night time somewhere. If you are not sure if it is day or night in the place you want to listen from, have a look at a day and night map to see where the light and dark areas are.

Reception range is limited during local daylight hours due to ionospheric absorbtion; night time range is very long - at least hundreds and sometimes a thousand kilometers or more. WebSDRs can accommodate plenty of users and site operators typically do not limit your time on the server. KiwiSDR and Web-888 receivers have excellent features, such as AM stereo modes and synchronous demodulation. NovaSDRs are a new type, with excellent audio quality, advanced features, and can handle hundreds of listeners at once. Have fun and enjoy the ease of AM / mediumwave listening on internet SDRs!

Please be a fair listener on the KiwiSDR radio servers. They are better radios but can only accommodate a few listeners at once. Avoid excessive time or opening multiple tabs from the same site at once, as site operators detect and block users or frequencies drawing too much bandwidth.

SDR sites are operated by volunteer radio enthusiasts. Some of them will accept donations from listeners, so consider helping to support the sites if you find them to be useful.
